Larry Kent Cook, a beloved husband, father, and cherished member of the Baker City community, departed this world on July 9, 2023, at the age of 78. Born on May 21, 1945, in McCook, Nebraska, Larry was the son of Clarence Cook and Helen Tessman.

Larry's life was one of dedication and hard work. He graduated from Culbertson High School in 1963, setting the foundation for a successful and fulfilling life. Larry devoted his talents to Ag Groceries and Yellow Freight for three decades, retiring in 2008, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and professionalism. Following his retirement, he served as a medical transport driver for Community Connections for ten years, extending his caring nature to those in need.

On October 11, 1991, Larry married the love of his life, Martha Paul, in Flagstaff, Arizona. Their union was a testament to love, companionship, and support, and they created a life filled with joy and memories.

Larry was a man of diverse interests and hobbies. He found immense joy in driving, taking to the open road with a spirit of adventure. His love for nature and the outdoors led him to hunt and fish, and he sincerely appreciated the rewards of farming. These passions enriched his life and connected him with many friends who shared his love for these activities.

Larry was a devout Blue Mountain Baptist Church member, where he found comfort and guidance. He cherished his church family and embraced the teachings that strengthened his faith throughout his journey.

Larry was preceded in death by his brother Max Cook, son David Morris, and grandson Christian Cook. Their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved them.

Larry leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Cook, who stood by his side through thick and thin. He was a caring and supportive father to his children Chymane (Richard) Curl, Ty (Sherry) Cook, Shane Cook, Phillip Morris, and Steve (Crissi) Morris. Larry's memory will also be cherished by his sisters, Jeanine and husband Dwayne Stauffer, Shirley and husband Dick Deuter, and sister-in-law Terrie Stewart. He leaves a legacy of love and will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Holly Matteson, Tyler Cook, Madison Strand, Josh Morris, Zack Morris, and Jeff Morris. Additionally, his great-grandchild Wyatt Matteson and numerous nieces and nephews will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

Larry's life was a testament to the values of love, faith, and hard work. His presence enriched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will continue to inspire and guide us in the years to come.
