Weston Daniel Gibbons; a loving and joyful brother, son, cousin, nephew, grandson, and friend, passed away December 21, 2018. Wes was born on January 12th, 2011 to Jason and Angela Gibbons. Wes would have been 8 on his next birthday, and for such a young man, he has left quite the mark on those who were fortunate enough to know him. His joy and zest for life were indescribable. He was a kind-hearted soul who always had a smile on his face and a sparkle in his eyes. Wes loved to make others happy and always took the time to get to know others. He had an easy-going attitude in all he did. His token laugh will be remembered in the heart and minds for those who were touched by his charming humor.
Wes was so positive that those around him seemed to thrive off his energy and wonderful smile. He had a great love for music and could sing almost any song on the radio. He loved to play dump trucks, army men, Legos, and any other game he could dream up with his best friend and brother, Waylon. Wes was a very patient and kind brother to his little sister Lizzy and could easily be talked into playing any make-believe game with her. He would readily become a member of her audience anytime there was a “show” performance. Wes was a member of the “Three Amigos”, three cousins who were close in age who had revolving doors into his Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents’ homes. Wes wanted to be a cowboy when he grew up, and never missed an opportunity to go to “cowboy school” with his Aunt and Uncle in Durkee.
When not tagging along with dad or playing with his friends and cousins, he would take full advantage of cuddle-time on the couch with mom. A morning kiss to Mom or a hug for dad on school days was never missed.
Our family was blessed with nearly eight wonderful years of indefinable pleasure - Wes’ love and charm. We can’t begin to describe how lucky we feel to have had Weston, a young man who had a keen sense of others’ feelings, and of who he was and always seemed to know just how to make others feel special. Wes’ passion for life, and amazing smile will never be forgotten. He will be missed; more than can be put into words.
