Tommie Rose Dailey, age 90, passed away Tuesday, June 5th, 2018 at Settler’s Park Assisted Living Community in Baker City.
A funeral service will be held for her at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 12th, 2018 at Gray’s West & Company Pioneer Chapel in Baker City with Pastor David Hoeffner of the Calvary Baptist Church officiating. There will be time for friends and family to participate in a visitation from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 noon on Tuesday morning, prior to the service.
Tommie was born on December 28, 1927, in Cairo, Georgia to Thomas and Rosella Rusk. She went to high school at Gordon Military School and graduated in 1946. Her occupations included ranching, saddlery, and being a homemaker.
Tommie enjoyed hiking, fishing, berry picking, sewing, and crocheting. She loved animals and being outdoors. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Baker City, Oregon. One of Tommie's greatest accomplishments was being a college graduate.
Tommie is survived by her son Milburn Dailey, Jr. of Keating, Oregon; 12 grandchildren and over 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Rosella Rusk; husband, Milburn Dailey, Sr.; daughter, Tommie Rose (Dailey) Ashby; grandson, Jason Wolfkiel; and grandson, Elijah Rosin.
