Lana Kay Kirby, 65, of Baker City, Oregon passed away on April 1, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Lana Kay (DeVita) Kirby was born on April 12, 1952 in Lovelock, Nevada to Ralph and Willie (Clark) DeVita. Lana’s father was a heavy equipment operator and they moved from Lovelock when the Snake River dams were being built. She attended Pine Eagle High School in Halfway, Oregon and graduated in 1970. Lana’s main occupation was being a housewife, but she also worked for the Baker County Assessor’s Office, Edward D. Jones and was self-employed as a dog groomer.
On December 28, 1991 Lana married Charles Kirby in Baker City, Oregon. She enjoyed video games, dogs, painting, wood burning, flowers, cooking/baking, home decorating and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved dearly. Lana was a member of the First Christian Church and started multiple listings for real estate.
Lana is survived by her husband, Charles R. Kirby; son, Richard Garrett; daughter, Tammy Luna; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Willie DeVita.
