Evan Simonski- Davis passed from this world on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. His spirit will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Although his time here was surely too short, his love of life was big and his impact on others was greater than he could have known.
Evan had a passion for helping those in need, particularly at risk youth. He had a true heart for soothing those troubled by heaviness and painful circumstances. Evan spent summers at Camp Collins YMCA and he was deeply moved by his time working at Trillium, a program dedicated to helping children and their families with mental and behavioral wellness. His gentle kindness made him good at the task that was his calling and career choice. He was compassionate and his warm smile was infectious, as was his playful and joyful nature.
Evan was raised in Baker City. He loved the outdoors, camping, boating, swimming, hiking and fishing. He loved to play golf and he loved the game "Magic". Evan was a loyal friend and he loved his family. He is survived by his parents Dave Davis and Michelle Simonski, and brother Dru Simonski- Davis (Raven Davis).
Gone too soon, he will be missed dearly by friends and countless family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 2:00 PM at the Presbyterian Church in Baker City, Oregon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the YMCA through Gray's West & Co. Pioneer Chapel, 1500 Dewey Ave., Baker City, OR 97814.
